Central Air recommendations
I am in SW FL I am researching replacing my central AC. It is currently an 18 yo RUUD 2Ton. Is there a preferred brand??
More importantly is there a I would not put one of those in my house if they gave it to me for free, or a I am so sorry I bought Brand X?
It will be going in the attic, so quiet is a priority, closely followed by easy to work on.
As the SEER rating rises does the complexity and future problems rise also? IS there a good website to look for this info??
As usual any input, suggestions, thoughts, advice and wisecracks greatly appreciated.

Proper sizing of the equipment, along with a high quality installation & setup, including a leak-free duct system with correct airflow, are the important factors.
Reducing air infiltration is important, especially if you live in a humid climate.
Most Brands are okay, that includes Goodman, the quality of the install is the key to good performance & longevity of the equipment.
