A/C doesn't always blow cool...
My whole house a/c sometimes blows warm air, or at least, not cool air. If I lower the thermostat, cooler air will flow. However, the unit seems to run more than it needs to (it shouldn't be blowing warm air). Also, when I turned the thermostat off (there's a heat/off/cool switch), it still continues to run.
I replaced the batteries in the thermostat and that did not help. Does it sound like I need a new thermostat or is the "sensor" in the A/C not working correctly? Thanks. Phil

Check This...
You say that it doesn't always blow cool, and turning the T-Stat to a lower temperature and then it gets cooler. I would check the fan switch on the T-Stat is set to auto and not to on. In auto it will cause the fan to run when the AC is running and to ON will cause it to run always or constant. Hope this helps....
