AC compressor cycles repeatitively & overcools.
Primarily after dark (and especially late at night), my A/C unit cycles repeatitively, cutting off, then coming back on after 20 or 30 seconds. It will do this seemingly without regard to thermostatic setting. I can turn the thermostat up as high as 90+ degrees without the compressor switching off though the room temperature may be in the lower 70s (thermostat clicks, but compressor continues to run). Additionally, there is asociated with the A/Cs operation a very loud gurgling and the sound of water.

If your compressor does not stop, first thing to check is the contactor in your outside condenser unit. Make sure it can turn on and off freely. next thing to check is make sure the T-stat does cut off the power to the contactor when the inside temp reach the set point.
