HOT liquid line

Hello, It's a 15 ton carrier split system. The suction line is cold but the liquid line it very hot,not warm, but actually hot..what would cause that? Also, in the sight glass, the refrigerant looks milky white.

Being hot could most likely be a dirty condenser coil or bad condenser fan motor.
But, there could be a few other things going on as well.
Milky liquid in the sight glass could be low on refrigerant but again, there are other possibilities.

You really need an a/c technician to put gauges on and check the system to see what is going on.
Because of CFC regulations this is something a homeowner can not lawfully do.

your flashing freon on that sightglass because the uni is short of freon...and it being short but still hot on the LL your really short.need to wash down the coil especially five rows up from the bottom...this will drop the temp on that LL..but the SG will really flash now...i'm taking it for granted your condenser fan is running
