Exclamation Central a/c not working

lennox CBX32MV not working, acts like no power to it, checked connections, breakers, etc. there was a 3 amp fuse blown in inside unit, replaced, did not fix, transformer starting getting hot, cut power. any ideas? could it be the capacitor?

Not the capacitor. 3 amp fuse is on low voltage side of system. Did the new fuse blow? How long before the transformer started getting hot? Was the thermostat calling for heating or cooling? Was the fan set to on or auto? Do you have a volt meter?
