Trane XE 1000 - Fan does not turn on
Hello,
I have read most of old threads, but I could not find a thread contains exact same problem as mine.
My A/C unit is Trane XE 1000. The outdoor unit make a noise like the compressor is running, but the fan does not turn on.
So, I gave the fan blades a push by a stick and the fan moves freely by pushing, but not by the unit. I decided to check the capacitor first, so I took the capacitor(7.5uf, 45uf, 440VAC) off and measured by the multimeter. It says 7.52uf and 45.72uf. Also, the capacitor has no bulging. Do I still need to try changing the capacitor, or need to check the motor? or something else?? I am not a good tech, but I want to try to fix it by myself first. Please help. Thanks.

I have called several local stores, they don't sell to the public.
Please let me know where can I buy a new motor?

Where did you get the part number, that doesn't look like a motor catalog number. You could try a Trane dealer. Do you have a Johnstone Supply or a Grainger store nearby? They'll typically sell to anyone.
