What you need to do

Ok Since you weren't very clear , Heres what ya need to do . The red wire either needs to go to a silver cylinder . or it needs to go to your low voltage contactor .

The Low Voltage contactor is typically brown looking and will have a spade where the red wire should have a plug on it that will go over the spade. The same applies to the silver cylinder (Capacitor) Hope this helps it is a easy fix.

You may have 2 silver cylinders , One being for the fan , the other being for compressor .

NO! The red wire is low speed for the fan and was not used on all models! As said, the capacitor may be the problem, but you need to verify you have voltage on both sides of the contactor.
