Outside AC blades make "grinding" sound when turning off

I have a central AC unit, and when it is turning off, the metal fan blades start to make a light "grinding" sound.

As it slows down, is when the sound begins.

I have briefly looked over some of these forums, and heard NOT to use WD-40.
Seems some people say to use motor oil to lubricate contact areas.

Can anyone detail this further ?

Thanks

are the blades making the noise by rubbing something or is it the motor bearings?
