Question Inquiry...

Hi guys I need your help on this:

I was told that split AC systems do not take fresh air from outside. They just filter and cool the air that is already in the room.

Is that true? And if not can u please name me one that takes air from outside, filters it before it is released in the room?

Many thanks for your help...

So do central A/C systems/. Why would you want to to take hot/humid air from outside into your house when you are trying to cool/dry it out? If you want something to bring in filtered, fresh air into your house I suggest getting an air exchanger.

Purchase and install an air intake add-on device to your central air system. you can program that device to control the amount and time of the fresh air intake.

There are HRV/ERV system that will bring fresh air into the home if you wish.. SOme older homes like mine has a pipe that ties right into the return. I have a damper on it so it open as needed.

Thanks a lot for clarifying that! But that is what what I need.

I have 1 master bedroom on the highway. I have sealed the balcony from noise, and I want something to filter outside air (because it is carbon filled) and an AC to keep the room cool or hot or just act as a fan for filtered outside air.

Hope I'm not asking for the impossible.
