no dryer for new R410 system

I have two AC systems. Both are relatively new.
Trane XR 13 using R22 was installed in 2008.
Trane XR 15 using R410 refrigerant was installed in 2010.

they were installed by two different dealers.

I just noticed that the XR 13 using R22 has a Freon dryer (see image below).
But XR 15 using R410 doesn't have anything in the thin copper tube outside.

Is it normal NOT to have refrigerant dryer for R410 systems? Or did my tech make a mistake. The system is cooling OK though.

Its ok if its a new lineset. I believe the XR 15 has a built in dryer inside the outdoor unit. You can check when the unit is off. Also sometimes the dryer is installed right in front of the indoor coil which sits on the furnace/air handler.
