Belt Replacement on old Crystal-aire house fan

Belt Replacement on old Crystal-aire house fan

I can't figure out how to remove the fan on a house fan in the attic, so I can remove the old fan belt without cutting it, or how to put on a new belt. Anybody ever run in to that? Thanks . . .

You can't roll the belt off?

Yeah, the belt rolls off easily enough, but it is kept in place by the structure that holds the fan in place above and by the fan itself below. So there must be some way to remove the fan so that the belt can come off/be replaced, but I can't figure it out . . .
