1 AC or 2 in large room?

I have a 660 square foot living room/dining room. Would it make sense to have two smaller split ACs (one on LR side, one on DR side) instead of one larger split AC? Would it achiever more even temperature distribution? Would it be noisier?

Does anybody know where I can find temperature maps for room ACs? How even is the temperature distribution from a single point AC?

Thanks!

Chances are that the plugs in the room aren't fed by two circuits.

(1 a/c allowed per 15 amp circuit)

A single unit (8-12k BTUs depending on climate, sun exposure, etc) should cool fine; a couple of fans can take care of distribution.

Thanks for the response.

Appropriate power supply for both units would be made available by our electrician. The power is fed separately to each outdoor unit; then supplied from each outdoor unit to its corresponding indoor unit. So nothing would be plugged into the power in the room. This shouldn't be an issue (other than cost of course to run this properly).

Appreciate your thoughts recommending a single unit and fans.

if you are going to do a split system like you are talking about then 1 system sized properly for the load will be plenty. That is a very small space to try to cool.

I assumed that you were referring to window a/c units.

One mini-split should do the job for sure.
