Trying to understand new Trane A/C and if there is a problem...

I have a new Trane XL15I and a new Trane Air handler. There was also installed in the attic a Little Giant condensate removal pump.

Overall, in the month or so since the installation, it works fine and is much quieter than the old system it replaced.

I am wondering about the Little Giant pump, which seems to run fairly often and is rather loud. It does only runs for 2-3 seconds at a time. I live in a hot, humid area and there is an attic fan.

We didn't have this previously and I am wondering if the operation sounds normal.

Also, I have noticed liquid at the base of the outside unit a few times. This is not from the line removing the water. Is this a problem?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Right all sounds good. Well i mean except i dont see why you needed a pump if the system is in the attic. Im sure they had their reasons because it would have been cheaper without one, for them.

They must have found a reason for it as normally you would not use one on a system located in an attic. You can call the installer to find out why there is one.
