There's a short somewhere. Check wiring carefully.
The control circuit wire between the furnace and a/c should have two conductors - Hot connected to Y, neutral connected to C.
A five (minimum) conductor cable is needed between the stat and furnace to power the stat with a common; it's straight forward -> R-R, C-C, G-G, etc.
When you installed the a/c, did you...
- Use a vacuum pump?
- Use a new matching evap coil and put the right piston (or txv) in it?
- Set the blower speed correctly for the size of a/c?
If not, it's a good idea to get a tech to check the install and do the startup (including but limited to checking the refrigerant charge in accordance with manufacturer's instructions)
