Home Air Conditioner

Good day yall. So yesterday my AC unit went out (at about 8PM, so it wasn't too hot), and i have this feeling it finally died (it was installed in the late 80's, early 90s). The question for you is this, what system should I get? I'm looking to go more energy efficient, for cheaper. The system that is here worked good, and my home is very solid, and has had a lot of work done (its a old 1940's farm house) by the last owners to make the system that was here more efficient. My home is about 2000 square feet, and has a separate heat pump. I would like to install a new system, like I said, that is more efficient, to try to save some money down the road (and maybe even qualify for a tax rebate). What would you install in your home? I live in Florida, and its the middle of summer. AC is not an option, its a requirement! lol

What areas does the heat pump cover; of course, it cools & heats.

If you live in a high humid area, whatever you do, do NOT over size the condensing unit.

Have, or do, a load calc on your home...
