Contactor Wiring

I'm replacing the CONTACTOR in my Carrier Heat Pump. The replacement is configured a little different with the 24v connectors on each side instead of both on the right side at the top and bottom like the old one:

Am I right in attaching the A and B 24v wires on each side like this:

One more question - Is there a top to the new contractor - or can it be be mounted either way?

Thanks

you are correct on A and B. The contactor should be mounted with the plunger on the same side as the old. SO, reverse the picture of the new.

Does it matter on which side the A and B are attached?
