Unhappy Strange Air Conditioning Question

Hello Everyone,

I had a question regarding my Air Conditioner.

I have central heat and air in my house. My Air Conditioner needs the furnace to work. Yesterday, the gas company turned off the gas to my house so now the furnace doesn't work. I can't pay it until next pay day, but I was wondering if I still ran my Air conditioner will I break it. It's not blowing that much cold air, but it's still keeping my house sort of cool. It's keeping my house from being 90 degrees to at least 75 which is good because it's like 100 plus outside in California.

Well I'm new to this forum, so I hope I posted this in the right place. It's awesome that I can come on here if I need any home ideas or help with my home repair projects.

Thanks for your replies.

Yes, you may run your air conditioning without any problems. The natural gas is only used to make heat. I doubt that you will need much heat for the next month.
