Split system inside unit, blower fan runs continuously even when power off the unit with the remote control. The only way to get it to stop is to power of at circuit breaker. Suspect faulty circuit board in unit. Any ideas?

Those units are pretty simple and almost all the functions are controlled from a single control board.
Do you have a make and model of the unit.

No wonder I didn't recognize the brand....you're from Australia.
I can't find much technical info online for that unit. It does appear to have its fair share of problems.
Is there a schematic printed inside the cover ?
Other then that I'd check for a stuck fan relay. There will be at least two.....one for compressor and one for fan.
Actually....some of those units use several relays for the blower fan. The relays control taps on the fan motor.

Yes there is a schematic, a very basic one. Thanks for the help. I realize you are not familiar with that brand but will the relays be on the circuit board or are they attached to the blower motor assembly. Do they normally run of mains power which is 240V AC here?
