Installing AO Smith Condensing Fan Motor - Remove plugs?

I am in the process of installing a new condensing fan motor and notice two small red plastic plugs, one on the top and one on the bottom. Do I need to remove these plugs? The other holes have screws in them, just want to make sure before starting unit back up.

You should remove the bottom plug. It should say this on the motor data plate and or wiring diagram that came with the motor.

plastic plugs

Normall you would have two oiler plugs on the end bells one across from the other usually yellow if plastic, otherwise aluminum and silver. On the faces of the motor , these act as drains for condensation so gravity and common sence would dictate which one to remove and toss depending how its positioned when installed.
