Isolator for ac very hot

I live in Delhi India.Peak summer started.My Isolator(Main Switch)is rated for 32A and I use it for switching off(after remote off)in the morning.But at that time,i notice that the isolator is very hot.What is the reason??How to rectify this overheat??I am using Carrier 1.5 ton split ac.Something wrong with the connecting wire or something with the isolator???

Welcome to the forums.

I see your power is listed as 220-240vac. So if your 32 amp isolation switch is getting very hot with just the 1.5 ton air conditioning on then you need to find out what is making the isolator hot.

Here in North America we use an electrical box with several isolators or circuit breakers inside.
We don't know exactly what your isolator consists of. It could be a problem with a dirty or corroded contact or even a loose setscrew on a wiring connection.

Can you shoot a pic or two of your isolator for us ?

This is primarily a U.S. forum. The term isolator is unfamiliar. Is this just a switch or does it also provide overcurrent protection (breaker or fuse).
