Replace Honeywell pro th3210 stat with Trane xr401

This is my first post so bare with me. the markings on the two stats are somewhat different . The existing honeywell has, c-brn, b-blue, r-red, L-no connection, o-no connection g-grn,
y-yell, w-aux, also aux and e are jumpered. the terminals on the trane are,
b,o,g,y,w1,w2/x2, and r. I realize that the b means two different things on the different stats, but th trane has no connection for the blue wire which is heat pump changeover entergized when heating. Thanks

I agree with you. Your new thermostat does not have the correct reversing valve terminal to support your system. You need a different thermostat.

Agreed... Trane equipment energizes the reversing valve in cooling where as your Heat pump must not be trane and is likely a Rheem family product and energizes the reversing valve in heating. What is wrong with your old thermostat?

Nothing, A friend gave me the trane, and it had automatic switch over from heat to cool. So I thought I might use it. Thanks for the help.
