Replace outside Air Conditioner Condenser unit

Hello, last year I had a gutter come down and land on the AC copper pipe that goes into the Air Conditioner Condenser and I think it broke the the pipe and the AC doesnt work anymore or run for that matter. The condenser was super old and I wanted to replace anyway. Can I just replace the 2 ton Air Conditioner Condenser and thats it? Thanks!

Nope.... You could have a new R22 condenser put in, but it would cost you a LOT of $$$ for the R22. The SMARTER thing to do would be to replace the SYSTEM (condenser and air handling unit/ evap coil) with a R410A model. R22 is going away and the cost for R22 is sky rocketing.

NO, and YOU can NOT install it on your own, you can do the grunt work but you will need a professional to come and pull a vacuum and charge the system properly with refrigerant.
