Maintainence

I came home today and it was about 88 degree inside my house. I turned on my AC and within 35 minutes, it lowered my 2300 sq feet to about 75 degree. When I took the temp with an infared gun against the vent, it was showing about 55 degree.

Overall, it seems like everything is good after I replaced the capacitor for the blower a month ago, thanks to the help of some of you.

How often should I get my AC look at or maintain since it is 22 years old? Does refrigerant need to be pump in?

According to Muggle in this thread, it takes Refrigerant 22.

Annually the system should be inspected and cleaned and charge checked by a professional who is epa certified.
