Zone damper stuck closed

I have a zoned system...3 different zones. Honeywell zone control board. There is one damper that has not been opening recently when the thermostat is calling for air. The outside unit comes on, but the damper will not open. However, when I go in the attic and simply tap on the motor housing, it immediately opens every time, (while the unit is still running and the zone should be open) so I do not think it is an electrical issue. No problems closing at all. Also, it just requires the lightest tap. I don't think the problem is in the damper itself...I'm not banging on it or anything...just lightly tapping on the motor to get it to spin.

Any ideas? Thanks....

Either the door is binding on something or the motor is getting stuck. Take the damper out and activate it to see what it's hanging on.
