A/C running, but blowers not turning on inside

I have a seven year old Rheem Classic series a/c unit. Yesterday I came home to hear a humming sound, but not air coming through the vents. When I checked on unit it was running and fan was turning. Thermostat seems to be functioning correctly, I replaced the batteries just in case. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to the forums.

You are telling us the outside compressor unit is working and that fan is blowing.

You need to check the blower inside the airhandler or furnace. Turn power off and see if the blower wheel turns freely by hand. If it spins freely you can try turning the power back on, hold the blower door safety switch in and carefully giving the blower wheel a push. If it starts it more than likely needs a start capacitor.
