Smile What should I know when Selecting an AC

Hey guys! I know the summer seasons is still a bit away, but I'm trying to get a head start on buying an AC! I'm new to this, but I'm trying to get some information on what to look for when buying an AC, benefits and cons ect ! All help is greatly appreciated !

The quality of your installation can have a larger impact on the operation than the brand of your equipment.

A heat load calculation will help insure better comfort and efficiency.

The existing ductwork should be inspected.

If you get equipment that is over 21 SEER you may have more trouble finding qualified service personnel and service may cost more. (mini splits, Daikin, or anything with an inverter compressor)

You may be able to get a better price in your "off season".
