HVAC wiring questions-correctly wired?

trane 2 stage xv95
trane 1 stage XR16
Just installed

Xr16 has blue wire to Ylo
red wire to Y
white wire to B/C

Been reading a bit on this but confused on what the wired Ylo does? Is this setup to run at a lower fan speed when cooling? Is this what I want?

Also there is no wire to W2 and no jumper between W1 and W2. Does this mean the furnace will never run in 2nd stage?

thanks

Sounds like a 2 stage condenser. Is it? It may be for dehumidification. Correct you won't run on second stage, however there may be a time delay in the board that will send it to second stage. I can't find any docs online for those units, but I didn't look too long.

I updated my zone controller to a honeywell HZ322 and connected a wire from the W2 on the HZ322 to the furnace W2. Then I set up the HZ322 so that when only one zone is called for it runs in heat first stage only. If both zones are called for then it runs in 2nd stage. Working great!

AC unit is split cooling. Should the AC unit be wired to Ylo? And why if so?
