2 speed fan. 2 speed compressor advantages?

What are the advantages in a condensing unit with a 2 speed fan and a 2 stage compressor?
Cooling and cost to run advantages?

Yes typical to have more cooling, less cost to run, more humidity removal, better comfort

I should have been more clear. I was interested in if a 2 speed fan on the compressor, makes much difference, as compared to a 2 stage compressor.
My thinking is, that the fan draws low current, and wouldn't make much difference in an elec. bill. With less air flow, might give less cooling. I must be missing something here.

I don't really see any benefit to slowing down a condensor fan.

It could be that the condensor fan switches to low only if the ambient air temperature is low enough. Otherwise the compressor may toggle high to low speed but the fan may almost never change.

Are you talking about the indoor fan? If so then yes it needs to be multi speed
