blower motor really loud!!!!!!

blower motor really loud!!!!!!

Ok so I changed out the motor on the indoor blower an it was quiet
For a little while an now its loud again its centered so its not hitting
The housing so do u think its loud because of the fan I didn't
Change or anything just the motor not the contactor either???
Pls help if u can thank u

Did you match the old motor? Same RPM?

Tstat swap w/ single phase? heat pump

Hi all. Hoping this is an easy question for someone. I just changed an analog Honeywell over to a digital non-programmable Honeywell on my sister's ac unit. It's a FHP model:EM031-1VTN. Label says listed heat pump 16LF. The old tstat was wired G-G, R-R, W-O, Y-Y and jumped to W. Wired the new one the same, but no jumper from Y to W, as the W is the same as the O/B on the new tstat. Set the tstat for single phase heat pump. Everything seems to work properly, but the condenser and blower kick on and off together. Previously, the blower would kick on first and run for a short time after the condenser shut off. Is this ok? Thanks for any input.Read More

Please help me choose, 1.5 or 2 ton a/c?

I have 2 quotes for a central a/c and don't know which is better. I live in FL in a 744 sq. ft condo. One quote is for a 1.5-ton Rheem 14AJM that will give me 16SEER. It includes a new copper line set 5/8 and 3/8 attached to condo wall going 25 feet up from ground to 2nd floor. The other is for a 2-ton Rheem that will give 14SEER but use old lines installed in 1977. Present a/c was rarely used by snowbirds so lasted this long.. I suspect the quote with the new copper line is better but don't know. Will be grateful for your help.Read More
