New Thermostat not working correctly (Wiring Issue)

I recently purchased a Honeywell Thermostat and tried doing the wiring myself but when I set the thermostat to "cool" the heat turns on.

Blower :
Carrier FA4ANF042

Wires coming from wall:
pink>x
green>G
yellow>Y
white>E
orange>O
red>R

Wiring within thermostat:
W2>E

HELP!

wire = old = new
pink>x = tape off
green>G = G
yellow>Y = Y
white>E = Aux/E
orange>O = O/B
red>R = R (leave the factory jumper installed between Rc and R)

You must also configure the new thermostat for heat pump with Aux heat operation or it will heat when you set it to cool.

This is function 1 with the 6000 series thermostat and lower or function 170 with the 7000 series or higher.
