Can I test 1/2 HP Genteq motor minus the module with 120 v?
Is there a way that I can test if the motor will run (with module taken off) by connecting 120v AC to the 3 pin plug? Does the motor even run on AC or is it converted to DC by the module? The wires to the 3 pin plug are black, blue and red. Thanks very much.

No, it is 3 phase DC voltage.
Ohm the leads to each other (L1-L2, L1-L3, L2-L3) and to the body of the motor.
Should be the same to each other and greater than 75K to the motor body.
The motor shaft should easily spin with your hand.

Thank you very much for the reply and the info. I gave it a shot when I got home today and had mixed results. The leads have very similar resistance to each other (just over 10 ohms) but my meter returned "1" from every lead to several points on the body. I'm not sure if that means open or infinite. The shaft turns easily and the bearing are smooth.
