Air handler is leaking water

Hello
Air Handler is located in the attic and it is leaking a good bit of water into the emergancy pan which is plastic. The pan wasnt set up right from the start as i can see now because the drain was not connected and just laying there. So once there was enough water it went onto ceiling a evently came down into kitchen. I used a wet vac to get water out of pan and there was alot. then about 4 hours later there was about 2 gallons or so in pan.
Is there something wrong with Air handler because of all the water out of drain? If any questions please ask.

There are two drain outlets on the unit. The lower one is the primary and should handle all the draining. If the primary becomes plugged then the water comes out of the secondary or overflow drain.

You will need to dismantle or cut the primary drain line near the unit so that it can be checked for clogs. Normally PVC is used and is easy to reconnect. It is very possible that the primary drain is clogged just inside the air handler.

If you shoot a pic and post it here we could comment further.
