Bad (AND OLD) Capacitor - how to figure out what I need?

The AC started acting funny. Based on other similar threads here, I pulled the capacitor out, checked the capacitance, and got 0 F, so it's bad.
I don't know how long it's been in the AC Unit (I bought the house in 2008, and I'd never checked it before today). The text indicating any identifying information for the capacitor is rubbed off (in the attached photo you can read as much as I can circled in red).

The Unit is an Amana rhe24a2a

Is this what I need Replacement Capacitor #D6789024 for AMANA Home Improvement Products #RHE24A2A/P1219109C | SearsPartsDirect

Thank you

You will need to look on the fan motor and the compressor to find the MFD.

I think that capacitor you found is OK if the fan and compressor are all original.

how did you get to a 25/5?
According to my searches, it's a 40/5MFD capacitor.

I have not seen a 25 uF cap used on anything larger than 18000 btu compressors.

I have rarely seen the cap rating on an original compressor but it might be worth looking. Replacement compressors have it listed.

I once had a customer rub chalk on a capacitor to make the writing more legible.
