A/C Compressor died???
Hi All,
My home is a comfortable 89 degrees tonight... So if this reads weird it's because my brain is fried. I have taken care of the following to troubleshoot my system, so your advice will be greatly appreciated:
Coil is clean a not icy.
Air is flowing throughout house.
Drain tube has not water running out of it (compressor not running)
I have taken Ohm reading from the compressor 1.2 (common) 2.0 and 3.0
Capacitor is working.
Thermostat says cooling mode is on.
When I depress the contact on the outside unit the outside fan kicks on but no compressor.
If you have any knowledge of why my compressor may not be running please, please, please help me out.

Welcome to the forums.
So the thermostat is not pulling the contactor in by itself ?
The first thing to do is to check for 24vac at the outside unit where the thermostat wiring connects to the internal wiring.
It sounds like you are measuring the compressor windings correctly which means the windings aren't open. Usually we check from those three contacts to ground to make sure there is no leakage inside the compressor.
It looks like you aren't getting voltage to the compressor.
Post the make and model of that unit so we can check into that while you're checking for 24vac outside.
