Ac tech added freon today but it's still not cooling......

So I had an ac tech come out today and he added freon to my system it has a very small leak he said. Well the system still won't cool my town home down to desired temp. It keeps bouncing between 75-77 and it's getting frustrating. I want it to cool down to 73. The thing goes from blowing ice cold air to then Ok cool. Any ideas on what's wrong or how to resolve this?

So much just noticed that the ac compressor starts for maybe 20 secs then shuts off. Also tech said he added 3lbs of freon get the feeling I got totally ripped off. It's a good man unit.

Welcome to the forums.

Your unit has a low pressure sensor and will shut the compressor down if low on refrigerant.
An EPA certified tech is not supposed to knowingly charge a leaking system. He is supposed to determine the source of the leak first. It sounds like your system may have more than a small leak.

I wouldn't be surprised if you can hear this leak.

You are describing two different problems here. Make sure you know exactly what the problem is before you start shouting uncle.
