AC condensate pump won't shut off

It's a holiday weekend and the AC condensate pump will only shut off when I unplug it. It's very loud. Will it hurt for it to run all the time or for it to be unplugged until Monday? Thanks.

I would not let the motor run continuously especially when dry. The motor may overheat.

Try giving the tank a cleaning. Sometime "snot" develops inside that can prevent the float from moving freely (if you have a float switch type tank). If cleaning does not get it working try taking the cover off the motor compartment and see if dirt or anything is jamming the float switch.

With a nosiey and probably a stuck float If you can't clean it up and get it working right I just went to lowes site and they have them in stock. The nosiey part is more worrisome than stuck float. mine is so quite I never know when it runs.
