central ac contactor relay

I have a Tempstar model #ca5548vkc1. It is an older unit that has always worked very well. Had trouble finding direct replacement single pole contactor. Through a commercial supplier I purchased a two pole replacement which several sources say also works. I do not know the difference in the wiring sequence to make this swap. Someone else, who is somewhat knowledgeable is going to do the job. I would like to be sure it is done without damage to any other components. This is not something I could not typically do myself. Figuring out the wiring added a bit of a twist. Since my co-worker offered to diagnose the problem, I'll let him complete it if we can figure out the electrical connections. I would appreciate any help with the solution to this issue. The contactor I purchased is #1050839. 24volt.

Welcome to the forums.

For all intents and purposes..... a single pole and two pole wire almost identically.

Just so you are aware..... that part number you quoted is a single pole contactor.
