Window Unit Wiring Issue

Hi, everyone. I'm new here, so I hope I'm doing this right. I have a GE ASW18DLS1 18000 BTU window unit. The PCB has gone bad and I am looking to replace it. However, I broke rule one of DIY work: label or write down what you've done and what goes where. I am buying a replacement PCB and I am going to have to rewire it back to the capacitor. The problem is, I don' remember exactly how it went. I wired it up as best as I could remember(after soldering a part of the board that broke loose) and blew the breaker. So obviously I wired it incorrectly. However, numerous searches have come up with -nothing- as trying to find a wiring diagram. Only parts diagrams come up. The *******s. T^T. Soooo, what I need is someone who is knowledgable to take a look at the photos provided and see if you can help figure out what goes where. I know I'm explaining this wrong. I would take it to an electrician, but I am poor. Otherwise I would have junked the thing and replaced it. Unfortunately, my father needs the AC working and we just can't up and buy a new one. (please ignore the rigged fuse. It has a flat bladed fuse soldered into it as a workaround to not being able to find a fuse locally. It was an on the fly thing and it works.) Please help. Or even better, if you can find the PCB to Capacitor wiring diagram, even better.

Warm regards,

-Ave.

Welcome to the forums.

A fuse is a bad thing to rig. It's there for a purpose and should be replaced with an original part.
That's the WJ26X10288 board you are replacing ? There are no online schematics for that unit.

I don't see any pics. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...-pictures.html

The fuse was a necessary evil. It works. That's not an issue. Nor why the pcb went bad. And of course there aren't any. Figures.. -.-

As for the pictures, I followed that guide to the letter... We'll try it again...
