Carrier AC Unit not working....and it's HOT!

Hello all.
I have a Carrier unit that just up and decided to not work anymore.
The inside Del-Air unit is working just fine and the outside unit is also kicking on just fine however, the fan is not turning.
I've looked at several other threads both here and in other forums, and the common thing seems to be the Run Start Cap.
Mine looks quite normal to me (as far as normal goes I guess seeing as how I've never seen one of these) This won't let me upload pictures unfortunately. Grr!
Do you think I got lucky and it's just that easy of a fix?

Welcome to the forums.

If it was kicking on just fine the fan would be running. Are you telling us that the compressor is running and not the outside fan ?

If that is a yes.... then replace the capacitor. Be advised... it could be a bad fan motor too. Usually if it's the cap.... you can turn the fan with a stick and it will start turning on its own.
