Why is my Frigidaire AC Window Unit flashing E5?

Do you have the owners manual? If not, Google the make and model number and have a look at the owners manual. It should tell you what the error code means.

The evaporator sensor is a little sensor attached to the coil or just in front of the coil but behind the filter. You'd need to check and make sure it's plugged in correctly. If it is.... replace it. If that doesn't cure the problem then the control board may be bad.
