Honeywell TH6220D Thermostat upgrade wiring questions

I am upgrading to a Honeywell TH6220D t-stat.

I currently have an old mercury switch t-stat. Pictures are below.

I have a model F+FP060N06B a/c heat pump and electric heater strip in the attic. I think this is considered a 2H/1C unit but am not sure.

The wiring for the old unit shows

Red - R - I believe it is Hot for cool and heat
Green - G - I believe it is Blower
Yellow - Y - I believe it is Compressor
Dk Brown - E - Unknown
Orange - O - Unknown
White - X1 - Unknown
Blue - W2 - Unknown
Extra terminal labeled B with no wires on it.

My new tstat has these connections for a 2H/1C

RC jumpered to R - Power
R jumpered to RC
Y - Compressor contactor
C - 24VAC common
O/B - Changeover Valve
G - Fan Relay
Aux/E - Emergency Heat Relay
L - sends output when on Emer Heat

Trying to figure out which wires on the old go to the new ones.

Thanks in advance for the help.

What is the model number on the old stat ?

I believe this is the correct wiring. You can confirm the wire colors and connections at the air handler also. Power to the air handler must be shut off when changing wiring.

Red -- R --- > Rc/Rh
Green - G --- > G
Yellow - Y --- > Y
Dk Brown - E --- > Not used.
Orange - O --- > O
White - X1 --- > C
Blue - W2 ---> Aux/E

Blue and dark brown are probably connected together at air handler.
X1 is usually the common wire but white is not its normal color.

Houston, the forum pro, will stop in and confirm.

The Thermostat is called White-Rodgers. It was put in when they changed over to a heat pump system some years back.
inside the cover reads 2 stage heat / 1 cool
HTG: 1.2 Amps. Max.
CLG: 1.5 Amps. Max.
Max. 30 Volts A>C>
Type 1s8wq-77
LR27935
CLASS 2
156-1854

Thanks

I agree with PJ's wiring.
Remember to remove power to the air handler before replacing the stat.
You must also configure the new stat to control a heat pump with aux heat.
Set function 1 to 5.
