New blower motor, TRANE heat pump

My blower motor went out on my TRANE furnace/AC (heat pump) and I got a new motor that matches the specs of the old one. My issue is with wiring. The new one is different.

Old Motor utilized a wiring harness:

Which two cables went to the motor and one to the capacitor:

The new motor does not have the ports to plug into the motor or a need for the wiring harness.

What is my plan of attack?

Old Motor wires
Black / Red to wiring harness
Black / Red / Purple from harness
Red / Purple to motor
Black to capacitor

Black and Yellow from motor to capacitor.

New Motor Wires
Two brown wires (which I believe will go to the capacitor)
Black / Red / Purple wire from motor.

Thanks in advance.

More information is needed. Will need air handler model number and the model number of the new and old blower motors. There is a wiring schematic on the white sheet right above the connector in your first photo. There should also be a wiring diagram on the new motor. If possible, take an in focus photo of the schematic in the air handler and the wiring diagram on the new blower motor and post them.

The old black was common. The new violet is common.

The old red was medium speed. (the higher of the 2 in use) The new black is the higher speed of the 2.

The old blue was the low speed. The new red is low speed. Cap it.

the 2 brown wires connect to the new cap.

The odd thing is the diagram is labeled ABC and the motor is labeled 1234.

So continue to use the molex connector that was black / red / violet down to red / black?

Splice the new black to old red, new red to old violet, new violet to old black in that situation.

Yes, that is what your 2 diagrams indicate.

Cheers!

Electrical wiring (outside of a switch or outlet) is my weak spot.
