A/C capacitor

Hello. I Installed a new capacitor about a month ago or so and today my Ac went out. I opened the unit and noticed the terminal C wire is fried. What could've caused this and what should I do next. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

There seems to be a rash of that going around tonight.

Most likely the slide on connector that is/was attached to the wire was loose on the capacitor.
If the wiring is ok you can replace that terminal with a new one.

A similar issue to yours....

Thank you much. I will try to find a replacement wire for it and see if it starts up
