Help installing A/C into sliding door
So I wanted to install a air conditioner in my room. Only thing is I only have a sliding door as a opening. What would be a easy and efficient way to install a air conditioner here if possible ? Would it cool air normally if placed on the ground ?
Here's a picture of the area.

Any help would be great.
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums! Is this a rental? I perceive it may be a highrise. For an air conditioner, the higher the better, since cold air falls. In Hawaii and there is no central air??

I'd think you'd have to frame up something to both close off the open door and support the window unit. While I don't know much about them, wouldn't a portable air conditioner be better? Something like this - Shop Soleus Air 8,000-BTU 250-sq ft 115-Volt Portable Air Conditioner at Lowes.com

Nope it's not rental. Yup it's for a high rise. I figured higher is better but would it being low still be effective ? I would go portable but I've been reading that it's not as energy efficient as a window unit especially the single hose ones which is the ones we have here.
