Hi Everyone,
Purchased a home earlier this year. Phoenix, AZ; built in 1960. Has a newer AC unit outside.
AC and heater components work very well. However, when I set the termostat switch to the Fan mode, nothing happens. Seems rather odd to me since I presume the fan turns on during the AC and heat modes.
Any idea where to start diagnosing this? Have had issues with contractors recently, so I am of the mindset to do it myself where appropriate.
Will post specifics about termostat, AC unit and details that other posters deem relevant.
Thanks in advance
Troy

Welcome to the forums.
Actually a very common problem. You will need to lift or remove the thermostat (not the base or wiring) and let us know what color wire is on which terminal.
Many times A/C is added to an existing furnace and there aren't enough wires to support the "fan on" mode.
