Help me get these old vents open!
Hello,
I work in an office with three older style aluminum air / heat vents mounted in the ceiling.
One of them in the middle of the office is wide open while the other two are barely open. We want to set all three in a middle position.
I have worked with the newer style diffusers with the little square key, these are different.
They have a spoon-like slider in one corner, but on all three vents I cant seem to move it. Do you push or pull or slide them? There are two screws on one side of the vent plate, I assume this is how I would swing the vent down?
Anyone with experience on these older style vents please help out! The air distribution in here is awful with some spots hot and some freezing cold. Plus the wide open vent is rattling from all the excess air passing through.
THANKS!

The lever should move forward and back, opening and closing the vent. This might be best left to building maintenance operations.
