Amana vs. Goodman

I've read that Amana purchased Goodman in 1997, and after reading the article below, I'm trying to figure out what exactly is the difference between the Amana and Goodman HVAC systems? They seem to be the same, only (going by the article), the Goodman is $300 cheaper. Can someone answer this question?

Amana vs Goodman Air Conditioners - Consumer Review

Thanks,

Andy

Same company - all produced by Daikin. Most come off he same assembly lines. For gas furnaces they are the same except that Amana has stainless steel heat exchangers. For other equipment Amana usually has more bells and whistles but the same base components. Might also be quieter for the same unit.

Thanks Astuff. What about gas packs? Would there be any difference between the two related to gas packs?

A stainless steel burner would be one advantage.
