outside A/C unit fan not working

outside A/C unit fan not working

outside A/C unit fan just stopped. Checked circuit breaker and its fine. I am a bit of a novice. Any ideas on what else to check before i have to call somebody? thanks!

Try to use a wood stick to push the fan blade and see if that start the fan. Also, do you know if the compressor is running while the fan is stopped.

Did you check the breaker for the inside furnace unit? How about the thermostat ?

Welcome to the forums.

We need more information.

Does the inside blower work ?
You said the outside fan is not working.... is the compressor running ? Feel the large copper line coming out of the unit and going to the house. Usually it's insulated with foam.
