Finding A/C filter location

I have a Snyder-General HVAC system, Model #GUF 075A_012-N and I'm unable to find where I need to open the unit to install a new filter. I've tried to open every "open-able" part of the system and have looked all over online for a schematic or description. Does anyone have any ideas where I'd find the filter on this system?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums.

The air filter is rarely part of the furnace. It's usually located between the return ductwork and the furnace OR behind a large single return grill in one of the rooms in the house.

In the picture of a similar unit to yours..... the return ductwork is on the right. The red arrow is pointing at the filter. Your return could be on the left. Remove the blower door and look inside.

The filter is filtering air into the unit (not cleaning the air from the unit) so the filter must be located along the air return. Look at how air is returning into the system and check there. Then, check any return ducts at least 14" wide.
