Flare Fitting

Hi, Installed a Fujitsu mini split system. My friend, who's an ac tech is going to charge it when it's ready. He put gas in it to check for leaks. I had one. It was on the suction line right behind the inside unit. He told me to reflare it and he'll check again. Came back, still a leak there and obviously he won't charge it like that. My question. instead of cutting the copper and flaring it again, could I just get a coupler and sweat it on? He said he wouldn't recommend it but the flare isn't working for me.
thanks,
joe

We do not support DIY refrigeration work.

You really should get your friend to make all the connections, leak test, evacuate and charge the system.
